I grew up with a dad and brother who loved building kits, I never liked waiting for the glue to dry so I was never that into car and plane models. Then along comes Zoids and then Gundam which snap together and well, totally in love. I mainly built in late middle school through high school and it was straight builds with sharpie panel lining if that. Then I went away for college and had to tetris my life into a car for moving several times so I only kept the ones I adored (1/144 Shadow and my hideous first attempt at a custom). I didn't have much free time or space so I have a gap of about 10 years. Then I made friends with some people who are also into Gundam and watched Build Fighters and realized I have shelf space and time. So here we are. I also cosplay and keep a blog about that too. A lot of skills overlap between the two hobbies actually.

I like metallics, doing fine detail work like hand painting and picking a theme and doing it to 110%.
